What generation am I if I was born on a cusp year?
Cusp years (like 1980, 1996 or 2012) sit right on the boundary, and sources disagree by a year or two. If you're on a cusp you'll often relate to both generations either side. The calculator uses the most widely accepted ranges.
What's the difference between Gen Y and Millennials?
They're the same thing. "Millennials" is just the more common name for Generation Y, born roughly 1981 to 1996.
When does Gen Z end and Gen Alpha begin?
Generation Z runs from about 1997 to 2012, and Generation Alpha begins in 2013. Gen Alpha is the first generation born entirely in the 21st century.
Is my generation the same everywhere?
